Thought I would start an aftermath thread.....man, long drive home and lots of time to think about things....

Fantastic weekend.  What a fun weekend of racing....we corded a set of old tires with about 45 runs at the T&T, then got another 24 runs betweeen Melissa and I on Saturday and Sunday.

The Oscoda courses are always the very best ones of the season and the courses this weekend did not disappoint.

I want to sincerely thank Steve and Ray for chairing the event and making it happen so we could all have fun.  I really thought about how much work an event is to put on and this one was outstanding and takes a lot of work.  I really appreciate the effort, outstanding.

Additionally, it took a lot of other people putting in a lot of work to make the weekend special, and to all the specialty cheifs and helping hands I also want to say thank-you.

Kevin.

I would like to also say that like normal it was a blast, like normal Oscoda is always worth the long haul, the asphault camping and the big car loads.  I came out to kill some old Hoosiers, in the hopes of an upgrade and managed to make the most of some chaulky Hoosiers.  The friendships are great, the new faces are exciting and the cars are always entertaining to watch.

Thank you to everyone who put in extra effort this weekend.  Thank you to Chairs for a great event!

I would also like to thank my fellow ESPers, it is always fun to race against you guys even as a chase the pack.

I can't wait for the last two events.

It was a blast! loved the course layout and the competition in D stock! the event ran well and was well organized as usual.

The trophies were great! I don't know what the drama was surrounding them but i thought any 'delay' was great because it allowed me to swap tires and load up my car before heading to the trophy presentations.

it was great ending relatively early sunday to make the trek back home through downpours. Thankfully it was only on the drive home and not during the event!

No Problem, I was at the event and apperently Oscoda is a black hole for technology. So I couldn't post till I got home. It was tough for me to carry a plastic brick in my pocket that only makes phone calls and texts.

Absolutely Great weekend in Oscoda, So much fun even though I can't seem to get the cobwebs out of my head and start being competitive again. I totally enjoyed the full use of Saturday.

Yes, my uncle took some 5,000 plus photos on Saturday mainly. He plans to get them up on his server and give me the link when gets it done. I will be sure to share the link as soon as he gives it to me. I saw a sneek preview he had set up Saturday night, there were some cool shots.

Awesome event, I wish we were still running today!

Thank you to the chairs and chiefs, I'm looking forward to the next 3day oscoda event, always the favorite autocross of the summer for me.

i have proof i hit 6 standing cones and 2 pointers!!!
they only counted 5 in timing and scoring (is that cause i took one back with me?)
Lol

if you put the video in 720p you can see the cone with yellow tape that came with me back to the grid stuck on an exhaust hanger and slightly melted

I am very glad i made it up, it was a fun weekend, thank you everyone who brought it together

I thought the smoke screen was a plot to hide downed cones....I thought it was clever....but going on the forum later and pointing them out defeats the purpose of the smoke screen. :-)

Glad to see the Civic out there this weekend.

Did anybody ever hear from the competitor in the black BMW that had the hood fly up on Friday? Man, I felt so bad.....it bent it pretty good. I didn't recally seeing the car again.

I found myself checking that my hood was latched over and over again during the weekend......just like I make sure I have a full pan of engine oil before racing after getting rod knock a few years ago.

Too bad it takes boo boo's to bring upon this level of enlightenment!!!
