You didn't like my offer?
It's not that at all! Thank you for the offer and I was going to contact you for the ride. Turns out it was all for naught because I have to work and just found this out.
So I would be missing this event no matter what, because job = cash flow = racing. 2009 Mazda Mazdaspeed3 1990 Eagle Talon 1999 Ford Ranger - Retired
It was a dusty, dusty, dusty event! It was hot but there was enough of a breeze that the heat was bearable. The ground was hard and stood up well and only a few course adjustments were needed. But, boy, was it dusty! The breeze would pick up the dust cloud and blow it to the opposite side of the track usually (in the afternoon anyway) when the competitotr who created the dust arrived on that side of the course! Then there was the Honda that lost a tire, the car that caught fire (vacuum then blow the stuff off, do not use water!!!) and all the cars that were overheating!
A big thanks to Scott Harvey for putting this event together, Ken Wiedbusch for pringing the timing equipment out, Sue Wiedbusch for registration and loaner helmets, and everyone else who came out and gave a hand.

"This is what racing should be, no grip and no downforce. Just horsepower, h-pattern boxes and balls."
Thanks again for another excellent event. Hannah and I had a great time tossing the Mini around in the heat and the dust. A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make it happen.
The dust does make for fun photos
