Okay so we had great success with the auto insurance thread and but now I got more problems and I’m sure many of you don’t enjoy picking a doctor or physician out of the yellow pages or a google review so this thread is for personal good guy/bad guy for anything from physician to oral surgeon and anything in between.

I know we are car guys and the majority of us here work on our own vehicles so can anyone here recommend a good chiropractor? I can feel some of my back muscles knotting up along my spine to protect it, I need an adjustment L

I just don’t want to pick one at random because that’s a good way to get hurt…

The safest way to pick a doctor is via Craigs List......I am pretty sure of that.

Last time I did that I woke up in Tijuana with one of my kidneys missing...

Community Chiropractic Center in Ann Arbor is good. Might be too far out of your area. He probably has experience with people whose kidneys have gone missing in Tijuana....

I don't know about chiropractors but I would recommend othopedic massage to fix you up. It's a lot different than a deep tissue or "relaxing" massage. The muscles are what pull the back out of whack so without treatment they will pull it right back to where it was before. I was crooked as could be and could just barely walk (bulging lumbar disks) and she helped me out big time, pretty much more than anything else other than the direct epidural injections. If you are tight you body is trying to tell you something and a quick crack usually isn't the fix. Just sayin'
Have her loosen you up then do some strength training and you'll be a new man.

Massage therapy is not covered by my insurance

But I do agree, I have had it before when I really pulled my back in conjunction of going to a chiropractor. Its important to go to a chiropractor who uses x-ray otherwise its like a shot in the dark.

I'll check them out, is that place expensive? Does it have a name?

I went to a chiropractor once. He asked: "So what's your problem?"
I said "I get a pain in my back whenever I look to the left." He asked: "Have you had it before?" Me: "Yes".
Doc: "Then you've got it again!"
