The first one is Perani Arena, they have fairs in the parking lot during the summer, the Flint Generals hockey team play there in the winter, and they have home improvement type shows there. The asphalt is kind of crappy, but not as bad as LTU.
The second is a closed Showcase Cinema. The part I marked in the picture is almost brand new asphalt. The portion I marked as pits is pretty badly cracked up. They held a Gus Macker basketball tournament there for the last two summers.
The third is a parking lot at UofM-Flint. The asphalt there is cracked and there are weeds growing up through, not unlike Oscoda. I believe it is usable. There are light poles, but no islands.

I just looked on their website and didn't see any obvious advertisement for autocross, but it would be worth looking into. Maybe they would let us use the dirt parts for rallycross too!
Does anybody know anybody in charge at Milan? Jennifer Glass Detroit Region Assistant RE

We can talk to Ryan about this when I take PE to his shop in the next few days (week?). Scott Team Harco Motorsports Win on Sunday, Sleep on Monday
There's a small asphalt pad in the paddock. Also what I find very interesting is that there appears to be something resembling a road course running aroung the strip. Did Milan ever host road racing? 1969 Chevrolet Corvette #42 BP
I saw that too... and it looks like theres a little curbing there as well. Kart track? by my rough estimates it looks like about 18-20' wide and somewhere in the 1.0 to 1.25 in length... interesting.
Chris, How did you like the layout yesterday? ~97 Dodge ACR, White ~96 Plymouth ACR, black
Whatever it is, it's newer because it isn't there in an aerial photo on their website, nor is the asphalt pad. I think something could be done here incoporating the pad and the "road course". And, Solo Trials at Milan anyone??
Greg, I thought yesterday was good. Rob has put together better courses in the past, but it's always a nice challenge.

When I worked for John Heinricy we checked this out for an event he was having. Ummmm unless they have changed this dramatically there is no way the have an autocross there. We could put a 4 cone slalom corner to corner in that area. John ended up using the road course it was doable but from the stand point of a safety steward I would be concerned in certain areas. We worked a long time to make it work for the event he wanted. I might have pics I will look.
I would not count on Milan, when I was Solo Director I looked into it and it had not changed then, it would not work for what we want for our events.
